The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has met with a group of officials and ambassadors of Islamic countries on Friday.

The problem of the Zionist regime is its 'illegitimacy' and that’s why it won't last long, said Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Friday in a meeting with a group of senior officials, Islamic countries' ambassadors, and people from different walks of life.

On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has received a group of officials, Islamic countries' ambassadors and people from different walks of life on Friday.

'The problem with the Zionist regime is that it lacks legitimacy; a regime that has been established on villainous bases will definitely collapse,' said Ayatollah Khamenei speaking on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Saying that the policy of the world arrogance in the region is to create rifts among Muslims, he said, 'The only way to counter policies of the criminal America and the Zionists is to identify the enemies' plans and resist them.

Saying that the duty of Muslim governments, and political, religious, and cultural elites, in promoting and backing  people's resistance against the Zionist regime is very important.

He added:  "One of the reasons behind creation of the Zionist regime was to split Muslim nations and cause problems for them, but historical experiences show that the Zionist regime which faces illegitimacy issues is not here to stay."

He also said that establishing covert and overt political relations with some weak-natured regional countries or US' relocation of its embassy to the Holy Quds won't solve the legitimacy problem of Israel.

The Zionist regime is founded on threat, intimidation and driving a nation out of its country; that's why the illegitimacy of the Zionist regime has been etched in the heart of  Muslim nations and no one can wipe out the map of Palestine from the collective memory and history  of the world.

He emphasized the need for a referendum among 'the real Palestinians', including the Muslims, Christians, and Jews, for establishing a Palestinian government.

Holding such a plebiscite equals the annihilation of the fake Zionist regime and establishment of a Palestinian government based on the Palestinians' votes, which will definitely take place in the near future,' said the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

He also said that with the annihilation of the Zionist regime, the Muslim people will live with unity and glory.
