The joint meeting between the heads of the three branches of government got underway in the Iranian parliament, the Majlis, on Sunday.

President Hassan Rouhani, Majlis speaker Ali Larijani and Judiciary chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani are taking part in this meeting.

Representatives of three factions in the Majlis are supposed to deliver keynote speeches on challenges and issues facing the country.

Cabinet ministers, members of parliament and members of Supreme Judicial Council are also participating in this meeting. In particular, Eshagh Jahangiri, Iran's first vice president, Hojjatolislam Mohseni Ejei, a spokesman for Iran's judiciary, Mohammad Bagher Nowbakht, government spokesman, Bijan Namdar Zangeneh, oil minister, Abdol Reza Rahmani Fazli, Interior minister , and Ma'soumeh Ebtekar, vice president in charge of women and family issues, are taking part in this meeting.
