The UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, has confirmed that Iran is implementing its 'nuclear-related commitments' under the deal.

A day after US President Donald Trump pulled out of the deal, director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano on Wednesday confirmed that Iran is implementing "nuclear-related commitments" under its deal with world powers.

Director-general of IAEA reiterated in a statement that "Iran is subject to the world's most robust nuclear verification regime" and that the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was "a significant verification gain".

"The IAEA is closely following developments" related to the JCPOA", Amano said.

Donald Trump announced his decision to withdraw the United States from Iran’s nuclear deal with the world powers and re-impose sanctions against the Islamic Republic last night (may 8 ,2018).

The European Union, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany have all expressed support for the deal.

Iran has on numerous occasions asserted that its nuclear program is merely peaceful and not meant to make nukes.
