Iran Press/ Middle East: Eshaq Jahangiri said on Tuesday in a meeting with the senior manages of Oil Ministry more efforts must be made to compensate for the reduction of oil price and the subsequent pressure on the country’s economy.
Jahangiri highlighted the significance of oil position for the country and noted that oil is a gift for the country.
"Gas and oil industry play a significant role in supplying the domestic needs of the country such that if we were supposed to import gas and oil, we would have to get huge amounts of foreign exchange," he reminded.
The Iranian Veep said oil resources must be used appropriately with its revenue turned to effective investment.
