The Spokesman for Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) has said the country has decided to reduce its commitment to Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to create a balance in the nuclear deal.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at a press conference on Saturday morning, the Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Behrouz Kamalvandi urged the European signatories to the JCPOA to speed up efforts to fulfill their obligations and commitments under the nuclear deal, warning the Europeans that 'time is running out'.

The Spokesman for AEOI stressed that uranium enrichment has been at the top of Iran's nuclear activities, Iran Press reported.

Kamalvandi also went on to stress that in the industrial field the development and expansion of Iran's electricity-generating nuclear power plants, as well as uranium enrichment for about 1 million separative work units SWU, will be done during the next 15 years.

Kamalvandi added that AEOI has done its best so that the development and the expansion of the nuclear power plants as well as the full production process have been set according to the time table determined by the JCPOA.

AEOI Spox also explained that Iran has lifted any kind of limit over nuclear research and development programs which have been introduced within the 2015 nuclear deal.

"Then, Tehran decided to create some kind of balance between Iran's commitments and the country's immediate rights in an imbalanced situation so that the other side could come back to its own commitments and respect Iran's rights or in case it fails to do so, Iran could once again create balance but this time through reducing its JCPOA commitments," Kamalvandi added.

"Iran is going to put more sophisticated and relatively faster centrifuges as part of its upcoming nuclear program and the country has the capacity to go beyond 20% uranium enrichment", added Kamalvandi.

Addressing the European countries, Behrouz Kamalvandi warned that "the Europeans should know that they have not much time and if they are up to do something, they should do it as soon as possible."
