Iran's Press TV announced on Wednesday that Iran has rejected EU's $15 billion loan offer.

Iran Press/Iran news: Earlier Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Europe had offered a $15 billion credit line as a loan, aimed at protecting the country's economy from reimposed US sanctions. However, giving the loan was based on the United States' agreement to the proposal and issue waivers from oil sanctions.

While there were some suggestions that Iran might agree to the deal with European countries, Iran’s English-language Press TV reported that “Iran has rejected a $15 billion loan offered by EU”.

Nevertheless, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told reporters in Bangladesh on Wednesday that Europe's need to seek US approval for the deal was "regrettable".

"Tehran will definitely continue scaling back its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) unless a deal with European signatories to the agreement is reached by tomorrow. The suspension of obligations is reversible and Iran is ready to return to full compliance with the JCPOA if all other parties fulfill their obligations" he added. 101/218
