Iran's president said that the relations between the country and Italy are friendly and we seek to boost this relation.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's President, Hassan Rouhani in a meeting with the new Ambassador of Italy to Tehran said on Sunday that, “We are determined to develop the friendly, long-standing relations with Italy, and we consider this benefit to both nations.”

He also went on to say that  “We are also determined to prevent the illegal sanctions of the United States from affecting these relations,” the official website of Iranian President reported.

He also stressed that the economic relations between the two countries are temporary and both sides should seek new ways in order to have better and stronger cooperation in this regard. 

During the same meeting, the new Ambassador of Italy to Tehran Giuseppe Perrone said, “Rome is willing to deepen ties with Tehran in all fields of mutual interest."
