Japanese Senior Deputy Foreign Minister in meeting with Iran's FM said Tokyo attaches great significance to its relations and continuing consultations with Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran news: The senior Japanese official, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs 'Takeo Mori' is in Tehran for an official visit and meetings with top Iranian diplomats including Foreign Minister  Mohammad Javad Zarif on Saturday afternoon.

Mori reminded his earlier constrictive meeting with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, and said that his country attaches great importance to its relations with Tehran and the continuation of consultations, Iran Press reported.

In the meeting, Zarif noted to the landmark visit of the Japanese prime minister, Abe Shinzo, to Tehran and his meeting with Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the good and constructive mutual relations and importance of the relationship with Japan on the bilateral and regional issues.

Zarif also highlighted the amicable and constructive ties between the two Asian nations.

Abe visited Tehran in June to become the first Japanese leader to visit Iran in more than 4 decades.

The Japanese leader met with Ayatollah Khamenei and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. 101/205
