The presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey in a phone call emphasized the expansion of Tehran-Ankara relations in all areas of interest.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to the presidential official website, Hassan Rouhani on Sunday evening made a phone call to Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, congratulating Eid al-Adha to the Turkish government and nation and all Muslims worldwide.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is fully prepared to develop relations with Turkey as a neighbor and friendly country, Rouhani added, Iran Press reported.

The president also called for more cooperation between the two countries.

Erdogan in his turn said that Ankara is ready to expand and develop bilateral ties with Tehran.

Millions of Muslims all around the world celebrate the Eid al-Adha in a ceremony that puts an end to the annual Hajj rituals.
