Chabahar (IP) - Director General of Ports and Maritime Organisation of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province said direct transit of goods between India and the Iranian Chabahar's ports is carrying out on a weekly basis.

Iran PressIran news: Behrouz Aghaei asserted on Monday that after the transit trend of goods between the ports of India and Chabahr has been operationalized in the weekly basis, two vessels entered Chabahar port from India Port, and the third vessel will enter on August 14, 2019.

The Director-General of Ports and Maritime Organisation (PMO) of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province added that India has considered 40 percent discount for transits of goods between the Chabahar port and Nhava Sheva and Kandla ports of India.

The oceanic port of Chabahar plays a significant role in Iran's port exchanges with other countries and transit of goods due to its strategic position and access to international waters. 104/211/218
