Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade said that the government's main priority and strategy is to support domestic manufacturing and production.

Iran Press/ Iran News: The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Reza Rahmani said in an interview with Iran Press news agency on Sunday that: as this year has been designated as the year of supporting Iranian-manufactured products, and certainly at the Industry, Mines and Trade ministry we are doing all we can to support domestically-manufactured products."

The minister added: "The government's main strategy and priority is supporting domestic production.  Our support of domestic manufacturing has many different forms, for example, we help domestic manufacturers with cash-flow problems, we also provide liquidity and working capital, from completing and finishing projects and efforts for solving manufacturer's problems, and we help manufacturers to market their domestically-produced goods, giving them marketing advice."

Speaking on the sideline of a governors meeting on Sunday, the minister added: "Special attention should be given to areas like mining in which we have a competitive advantage; in other areas like clothing production, manufacture of home appliances, areas like maritime industries, shipbuilding, ship repair, we have particular expertise and we need to help are manufacturers in these areas."

The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade stressed that in a nutshell, our policy is that every domestically-manufactured product or service should be supported by the government. 212/211/103
