Iran's interior minister, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, has emphasized that ways must be found of guaranteeing safe use of cyberspace for young people and teenagers.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an interview with Iran-Press News Agency the interior minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, said that there are many worries about how to use cyber space and many families are also rightly worried about their teenage children using the internet and cyberspace in an open and unsupervised cyber-environment.

The minister of interior continued by saying: "In today's meeting regarding the decent and proper usage of internet and cyber space, some regulations, laws, and methods, have been approved which can guarantee better use of cyberspace, and give confidence to families that their children can use the internet and cyberspace safely."

Rahmani Fazli added: "Supervision and oversight of cyber space and internet is certainly within the remit of Supreme Council of Cyberspace but we at the Supreme Social Council have made proposals for reviewing this subject. To assist the council of cyberspace and if they are inclined, we can provide them with expert advice and opinion, and also using prevalent methods in the world, and in our country as well, to reach a conclusion how to properly, safely, logically and suitably use cyber space, and counter or remove the harmful aspects of cyberspace, and lessen the anxiety of families who are worried about their children's use of cyberspace." 211/103
