Spanish Foreign Minister called Iran a great regional power in a tweet on Monday night, admiring Islamic Revolution's achievements.

Iran Press/Europe: According to Iran Press, Spanish foreign minister 'Josep Borrell' emphasizing Iran's capability in resistance against sanctions, reiterated that the US Government has experienced two hard failures in the 70s. One in Iran and the other one in Vietnam.

Spanish FM noted Iran's important role in the region and said: "Iran is a key country in Middle East region which had an essential role in Syria war, helping Syrian government while the Americans are leaving Syria."

'Josep Borrell admired social and scientific improvements which have happened in 40 years after the Islamic revolution in Iran, noting that in 1976, the literacy rate in Iran was 35 percent while it is 84 percent at present time. In 1980, 5 percent of employed women were university students. Now this rate has reached 47 percent.

Throughout Iran, millions of people took part in the annual rallies to support their 1979 Islamic Revolution in more than 1,000 other cities and towns and at 4,000 villages.

They are carrying banners, placards, and balloons with slogans and pictures of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (May his soul rest in peace), and Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on them.

The 10-day period from Imam Khomeini's return from Paris to Tehran on February 1, 1979, until the revolution’s victory on February 11 is celebrated in Iran annually and is referred to as the `Ten-Day-Dawn Celebrations'. 103/211/209
