Swiss President Alain Berset said that nuclear agreement known as the Iran Deal is A great victory for diplomacy.

"Bern is backer of the Iran Deal and calls on all sides of the nuclear deal to continue its implementation", Swiss President Alain Berset said at Switzerland-Iran Business Forum held in the Swiss capital city with participation of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Iran's rich civilization and the high level of the Iranian culture guarantee Bern-Tehran good relations in all areas, Swiss president said.

Berset went on to say that Switzerland is willing to continue financial exchange with Iran and the formation of the first joint economic committee between the two countries is a step in this regard.Swiss president also called for direct scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries.

Swiss President further said the two sides, during the visit of the Iranian president to Bern, will sign new agreements on cooperation in the areas of transportation, health and science.

Stressing the need to support cooperation between the two sides' private sectors, President Berset said Bern-Tehran ties have always been strong and will remain so.

In his part, President Rouhani stressed that Iran attaches great weight to its relations with the European Union and Switzerland, adding, "the outlook of Tehran-Bern relations, with regard to Iran's capabilities and Switzerland's scientific, technological and peace-loving place, is very bright."

"During the nuclear negotiations and after the deal was struck, we proved well that we will stay committed to our obligations,” Rouhani highlighted, adding, "we announce this to the world that Iran is committed to international rules and NPT and will continue to do so, and will continue its cooperation with international organizations including IAEA.”

Meanwhile, Iran and Switzerland have signed on Tuesday three cooperation agreements in the fields of science, healthcare and road transport in the presence of the presidents of the two countries in Bern.

Iran's president at the official invitation of his Swiss counterpart started his European tour to two nations on July 2.

Bern is the first European visit of President Rouhani after the US May 8 exit from the Iran Deal.Later, Iran's president is to travel to Vienna, Austria.
