Iran Press/ Asia: Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, who traveled to India to attend the meeting of the defense ministers of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, after arriving at New Delhi's Palam Airport, told reporters that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is one of the most important centers of regional and global developments.
He continued: "This is the first time that the Islamic Republic of Iran is participating in the defense ministers' meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at the level of the Ministry of Defense.
"Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani stated: " In this opportunity, God willing, we will broaden our efforts to explain the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in line with the policies of the Islamic system, especially in the field of issues such as confronting the unilateralism exercised by some countries, confronting terrorism and extremism."
The Minister of Defense stated that the meeting of defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will be an opportunity in terms of national power, economic, military, cultural, and social sectors, and other sectors where we can present our positions.
