Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the statement issued by the Persian Gulf's Cooperation Council (PGCC) about the results of Iran-Saudi Arabia talks.

Iran PressIran News: As announced by China, Saudi Arabia, and Iran on Friday, March 10, Tehran and Riyadh have reached a deal that includes the agreement to resume diplomatic relations and reopen embassies and missions within two months, after talks in Beijing from March 6 to 10.

In its periodical meeting, the PGCC emphasized the continuation of the member states' joint actions, including the settlement of disputes with Iran peacefully.

Nasser Kanani welcomed the PGCC foreign ministers' support for the Iranian-Saudi talks, expressing hope that the agreement would play an effective role in shoring up the region's stability, peace, and development.

He rejected the statement paragraphs regarding Yemen and its connections with Iran, stressing realism and political solution to end the long-standing crises in Yemen.

With the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, Saudi Arabia launched a war on Yemen in March 2015 and since then sieged the country by land, sea, and air.
