Kazakhstan (IP) – Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran (SAC) and the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus inked a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation.

Iran PressIran News: Senior President of the Supreme Audit Court of Iran Mehrdad Bazrpash and the Director of the Financial Monitoring Department of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus Vasily Gerasimov, On the sidelines of the 9th meeting of the Economic Co-operation Organization Supreme Audit Institutions (ECOSAI) in Kazakhstan, linked an MoU on cooperation between the two states in 13 clauses and for five years.

Iran's Bazrpash stated in the meeting that Iran's SAC and the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus could help the two governments to develop economic ties.

He referred to the sanction imposed on the countries and noted that the two sides could put neutralization of sanctions on their joint agenda with better coordination.

The Iranian official pointed out that one of the ways to neutralize the sanctions is to be united against the countries imposing sanctions on others.

He termed the signing of the MoU with Belarus as the first action of the financial regulatory bodies.

Vasily Gerasimov, for his part, lambasted the cruel sanctions against the two countries.

Economic Co-operation Organization Supreme Audit Institutions (ECOSAI) is a regional forum of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the South and Central Asian regions. Founded in 1994, the ECOSAI aims to promote the state auditing profession in member countries through the exchange of ideas and experiences and by holding seminars, conferences, workshops, and training courses.
