Minsk (IP) - Iran’s Minster of Industry, Mine, and Trade has said that Tehran would soon dispatch an economic attaché to Belarus to expand trade ties.

Iran PressEurope: Speaking in a gathering of Iranian businesses in Minsk, Reza Fatemi-Amin said that the presence of Iranian businesses in Belarus and Eurasia and Iran’s ascension to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was of high importance to Tehran.

Fatemi-Amin also said that Iran was pursuing expansion of economic ties and transit between the two countries and would soon send an economic attaché to its diplomatic mission in Minsk.

Iranian businessmen shared their concerns on visa issuance for Iranians, the need for a direct flight between Iran and Belarus, monetary and banking issues, and a lack of Iranian cultural activity in Belarus.

Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Reza Fatemi-Amin is in Belarus for the meeting of Iran-Belarus joint economic commission which will be chaired by him as well.
