An Iranian rock climber broke the world record in international competitions in Switzerland.

Iran PressEurope: In the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) Climbing World Cup Villars in Switzerland, Iranian speed climber Reza Alipour broke his previous record of 5.48 seconds which was held for 5 years.

He first set a record of 5.41 seconds and then of 5.33 seconds, breaking his own record which was registered in 2017 in China

The semi-finals competitions will be held on Friday.

The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Cup Series 2022 has been underway in the Swiss village of Villars, since 30 June and it will end on 2 July. Following the Lead season opener in Innsbruck, Austria, Villars’ Place du Rendez-Vous has welcomed the second Lead round of the year, in addition to the fourth stage of the 2022 Speed World Cup Series.
