Tehran (IP) - Iran's president says the enemy knows very well that Iran is not seeking nuclear weapons at all, hence it is the country's duty not to take a single step back from the rights of the nation in the nuclear negotiations.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at the 16th National Anniversary of the Nuclear Industry on Saturday, Ebrahim Raisi said: "Today, despite the wishes of the enemies, Iran's nuclear industry has made significant progress and has become indigenous."

The president stated: "Sanctions, threats and assassinations of nuclear scientists and sabotage of nuclear facilities could not stop the Iranian nation from advancing their peaceful goals."

"The enemies are well aware that nuclear weapons have no place in the Islamic Republic of Iran's defense doctrine, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed more than 15 times in its reports that no violations have been reported in Iran's nuclear activities," Raisi stressed.

"Iran's nuclear activities in total are about three percent of the total nuclear activities in the world, but 25 percent of the IAEA's inspection is on Iran's activities," the president underscored.

"Many countries in the region have nuclear weapons, but the enemies don't care about them," highlighted the president.

"We will never allow the arrogant to infringe on the inalienable rights of the Iranian people, or to slow down or stop the peaceful activities of the Iranian nuclear program," Raisi said.

At the ceremony, which was attended by a few ambassadors and representatives of international organizations, the president referred to the preparation of the National Energy Strategy Document, saying: "I hope the industry will be a beacon for those involved in the nuclear industry."
