Iran logs 24 COVID deaths in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Thursday that 24 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 131,802.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to January 06, 2022, a total number of 6,203,046 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,047,528 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 1,579 cases, of whom 269 patients were hospitalized.

2,209 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 42,577,332 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

So far, 60,021,430 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 52,416,390 have received the second dose, 9,389,424 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 121,827,244 doses.
