Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that 42 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 131,778.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to January 05, 2022, 6,201,467 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,045,890 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 1,171 cases, of whom 372 patients were hospitalized.

2,352 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 42,484,271 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

So far, 59,992,876 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 52,344,829 have received the second dose, 9,081,671 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 121,419,376 doses.
