Iran PressIran news: The Iran-US Arbitration Court in the Hague, the Netherlands, has ordered the US government to return or pay for national media assets worth approximately $ 1.3 million.

This ruling is final and will take effect soon. The Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Deputy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), with the continuous follow-up, submission of documents, defenses, sound bills, and the use of experienced lawyers and experts, in cooperation with the Presidential Center for International Legal Affairs, succeeded in obtaining the verdict of "final" condemnation of the US government from the general panel of the Arbitral Tribunal consisting of 9 reviewing judges.

The presiding judges have set a four-month deadline for the ruling, which Washington is required to pay a total of $ 1,238,110 in damages to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) if the US government fails to act in a timely manner.

Legal and political experts believe that this verdict shows the capability of IRIB's skillful legal experts in presenting credible bills and defenses in cooperation with the Center for International Legal Affairs of the Presidency in defense of national interests and especially the protection of national media interests in international courts and authorities.

The issuance of this verdict can also be cited as an important procedure and document in Iran's lawsuit against the US government, in order to return other unjustly confiscated property of the Iranian nation.
