In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry denounced Israel's recent attack on the Jabalia police headquarters, which killed the police commander and several officers. It also condemned the arrest and torture of Palestinians, the confiscation of Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank, the destruction of critical infrastructure, and continued restrictions on the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The ministry said that despite 'a ceasefire agreement reached nearly nine months ago,' Israel has violated the truce more than 3,600 times, resulting in the deaths of over 1,100 Palestinians, many of them women and children. It further accused Israel of maintaining 'an inhumane blockade on Gaza by preventing the entry of essential supplies.'
Iran also criticized 'the international community's failure to stop the conflict,' accusing the "so-called Peace Council" of remaining inactive and serving to whitewash Israeli criminal actions under continued U.S. support and the United Nations' inaction.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry further asserted that the United States bears responsibility for the ongoing conflict due to its military, political, and diplomatic backing of Israel and for shielding Israeli officials from international legal accountability.
Calling on the international community, particularly the United Nations and Muslim countries, Iran urged immediate measures to end the genocide in Gaza, bring an end to the Israeli occupation, uphold the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, and prosecute those responsible for the war crimes.
