Tehran (IP) - ‏‏The spokeswoman for Iran's Health Ministry announced in her presser on Saturday that in the past 24 hours, 175 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, which show a sharp decline in recent days bringing the total death toll to 53,448.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 19, 2020, the Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari stated that 1,152,072 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 875,943 of the total infected patients recovered.

She added that newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 6,421 cases.

5,591 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

Currently, 12 counties across Iran are in the red zone, 288 are in the orange zone, and 148 are in the yellow zone.
