Tehran (IP): Iran's Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for artistic affairs, Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini held a meeting with Lebanese outstanding cultural figures.

Iran Press/Iran news: Hosseini held a meeting with the Primary Conductor of the Lebanese National Oriental Orchestra at The Lebanese National Conservatory, Andre Hajj on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the Primary Conductor of the Lebanese National Oriental Orchestra at The Lebanese National Conservatory, Andre Hajj, called for more artistic cooperation between Iran and Lebanon.

In the event which was also attended by Advisor and representative of the Lebanese Minister of Culture Hussein Ajami, the two sides exchanged ideas to boost ties in the mutual areas of interest.

Referring to the memorandum of understanding on cultural cooperation between the two countries, Hussein Ajami said: "Lebanon is ready to have joint artistic activities and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields of music and visual arts."

Hosseini also said: "Art is a language that does not need to be translated and serves as the best line of communication among the nations."

He called cultural and artistic ties art as the strongest ones, saying that  

artistic ties have been established between Iran and Lebanon from the past and will be strengthened by further interaction of joint artistic activities and programs in the field of music.
