Hajj, symbol of monotheism

Tehran (IP) - The secretary-general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought referred to Hajj as a community-building ceremony and a symbol of monotheism.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at the International Seminar of 'Social Dimensions of Hajj' on Sunday evening, Hamid Shahriari stated: "The unity among the pilgrims, who gather in different places from different countries of the world and perform Hajj rituals with different languages and skin tones, leads to spiritual cohesion among Muslims."

The Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought on Sunday evening at the international seminar of "Social Dimensions of Hajj" referred to Hajj as a community-building ceremony and a symbol of monotheism.

Talking to thinkers from South Africa and other countries during a live broadcast on Facebook, the secretary-general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought emphasized the existence of kindness and compassion among pilgrims from different countries, calling this kindness as an indicator of Islamic morals.

Shahriari also described surrendering to the arrogant powers of the present era as the behavior of idolaters who worshiped idols in the early days of Islam, stressing: "When a person surrenders to the arrogant powers, he acts like idolaters."
