Gaza death toll rises to 11

Palestinian news sources reported the death toll has risen to 11 in Zionist regime airstrikes on Gaza.

Iran Press/Middle East: At least 11 Palestinians were killed and 45 were wounded in Zionist regime airstrikes on the Gaza Strip during the day on Tuesday, Gaza's Health Ministry has confirmed.

Reports indicate that Israel is preparing for further escalation. Schools and all non-essential work were canceled in the Gaza strip, particularly in areas hit by Israeli airstrikes. Local authorities have ordered the opening of shelters wherever necessary, Iran Press reported.

Earlier, Israeli strikes killed a senior commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance group, Abu al-Ata and his wife, injuring his children.

The assassination is likely to fuel tensions between Tel Aviv and Gaza, which has been under a total blockade by Israel since 2007 and witnessed three wars since 2008.
