Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed hope that the Iranian minister had brought "good news" for both countries. He said the visit would further enhance Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations and voiced optimism about positive developments regarding the regional situation.
The visit takes palce at a time the U.S. breached the Islamabad MoU with Iran, targeting southern part of the country.
The Iranian delegation includes the Governor General of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran's Deputy Interior Minister, Deputy Minister for Urban Development and Transport, the head of the National Iranian Oil Company, the Special Representative of the Iranian Minister of Agriculture, and other senior officials.
During his visit, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni is scheduled to call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
