According to Iran Press, participants in the rally—convened on short notice by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) in the U.K.—condemned the supply of bombs and fuel to U.S. heavy bombers for strikes on targets in Iran as a clear instance of complicity in Washington's illegal war and partnership in the U.S. war crimes. The demonstrators called on the new British Prime Minister to immediately halt such support.
The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament had previously issued a statement reading: "Following a U.S. B-1 bomber stationed at RAF Fairford striking Iran, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared that Britain is 'complicit' in the United States' unlawful war, and now views British bases such as RAF Fairford as legitimate targets."
"This action comes after nearly two weeks of U.S. bombardment of Iran, which has targeted bridges, energy resources, and other civilian infrastructure. In retaliation, Iran has struck U.S. bases across the Middle East, including facilities in Bahrain, Jordan, and Qatar."
"What has the British government done in response? It has issued a statement asserting that 'the U.K. remains ready 24/7 to defend itself...'"
The CND warned that this stance heightens the risk of further escalation and involvement by the nuclear-armed NATO alliance—precisely the outcome Donald Trump has been pushing for. "Instead, the British government should employ its diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions. The bottom line is: stop the use of U.K. bases!"
