Iran Press/ Iran news: Brigadier General Muhammad Badr, with an accompanying high-ranking delegation paid an official visit to Tehran on Monday, and met and conferred with Iran's interior minister, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.
The Iraqi official also met with his Iranian counterpart, deputy interior minister, Hussein Zolfaghari.
Zolfaghari is deputy interior minister in charge of coordinating the Arbaeen religious observance.
Badr said with the signing of this agreement free visas will be issued to pilgrims of both countries, more services and facilities will be provided to the pilgrims, and any problems which they may face will be solved.

Iraq's ambassador to Iran, Javad Ghandil after the signatories signed the agreement said: "I declare my government's readiness to offer any help and services to Iranian pilgrims. It is anticipated that we provide services for up to 3 million [Iranian] pilgrims visiting Iraq given the free issuance of the visa."
"We expect a similar number of Iraqi pilgrims to visit Iran. We expect the total number of pilgrims to reach 10 million given Iran-Iraq long-lasting friendly relations. This relationship will be further expanded politically, culturally and economically," he concluded.
