Iran Red Crescent chief arrives in Syria's Aleppo

Aleppo (IP) - The head of Iran's Red Crescent Society arrived at Aleppo airport with the eighth shipment of Iranian aid to the affected people in northwestern Syria in order to monitor the aid delivery process after visiting the Turkiye earthquake-affected area.

The death toll from powerful earthquakes that devastated areas of Turkey and Syria has topped 41,000, according to figures collated by authorities in the two countries and other sources, as the United Nations began transporting relief materials through a new border crossing to Syria.
