Adıyaman (IP) - Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) alongside Iran Army has set up an aid camp in the quake-hit Adıyaman Province in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Türkiye.

Iran PressAsia: A week after a dreadful 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Türkiye and Syria, more than 36,000 people lost their lives. Many tens of thousands more have been injured. Millions may be left homeless.                                                   

The Islamic Republic of Iran's Army Ground Force and Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has set up a field hospital equipped with 50 beds providing treatment and presenting medical needs in the city of Adıyaman in Türkiye.

Brigadier General Gholamhossein Gheibparvar, the Deputy Commander of IRGC, told Iran Press News Agency that a camp was created capable of accommodating 2,000 households in the earthquake-stricken of Adıyaman.   

General Gheibparvar noted that in case Turkiye needed more help, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps would send more aid to the displaced people of southern Türkiye.

The number of deaths in Türkiye rose to 31643, and 4,500 in Syria on Monday, 13 Feb. 2023.
