Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of the Judiciary has said that the verdict of French spies has not yet been announced.

Iran PressIran news: In response to the question about the French spies, Masoud Setayeshi said in his weekly presser: "The verdict has not been issued yet, and it will be announced in duo time."

The two French citizens were not named and were arrested on charges of spying and measures against national security.

French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said in mid-November that two unnamed French nationals had been detained in Iran, bringing the total number of people from France held there to seven.

She made the announcement during Iran’s ongoing protests, which began in September and during which some western citizens were involved in.

Two French nationals, Cecile Kohler and her partner Jacques Paris were arrested in May. Iran charged them with spying and trying to foment unrest. Their visit to Iran had come while teachers were holding protests.
