The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations stated that uranium enrichment in Iran will never cease.

In an interview with CBS News in New York, Amir Saeed Iravani added, "We are a member of the NPT, and based on this, we can conduct research on the development of nuclear technology, produce uranium, and utilize peaceful energy."

The Iranian ambassador stated, "Our second right is that, legally, our technical activities and cooperation for our development program must be protected, and in return, the Agency can have full access according to the comprehensive agreement." He emphasized, "Our peaceful activities will always remain peaceful. Therefore, expanding them based on the NPT is our right, and we want to exercise this right, and this vision will never stop."

The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations added that there is no threat from Iran against Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency. "We are ready for negotiations, but the conditions for negotiating with the United States are not suitable. If the Americans want to dictate their terms to us, negotiating with them is impossible." He further stated that despite the security of the IAEA inspectors in Iran, no permission will be granted for inspections of nuclear facilities.
