According to Al Jazeera, citing Israeli sources, Haaretz reported that Netanyahu was forced to attend a closed-door session at the Jerusalem District Court after his request to cancel the hearing was denied.
Following that session, Israel’s Channel 12 revealed that all hearings scheduled for the upcoming week have been canceled. The reason provided was a security warning by the spy agency Mossad about potential regional escalation — a justification many observers see as a deliberate attempt by Netanyahu to delay his trial.
Sources told Channel 12 that the head of Israel’s spy agency "Mossad" submitted a confidential report to the court at the request of Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, claiming it was unsafe for the prime minister to continue attending legal proceedings at this time.
Analysts say Netanyahu, facing multiple corruption charges, is using national security as a political shield to escape accountability in court — a tactic increasingly criticized amid growing public distrust in Israel's leadership.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump has recently stepped up public support for Netanyahu. Trump’s remarks, widely reported by conservative outlets in the U.S., are seen as part of a broader campaign to restore Netanyahu’s image amid increasing legal and political turmoil.
