Major General Seyyed Abdul Rahim Mousavi, held a phone conversation with Khalid bin Salman, the Saudi Defense Minister, discussing the recent 12-day war with the Zionist regime and the United States, as well as regional and bilateral issues.
During the call, Major General Mousavi emphasized that the aggression by the Zionist regime and the United States against Iranian territory occurred despite the Islamic Republic of Iran’s restraint and while indirect negotiations with the U.S. were underway. He stated, "These two regimes have proven that they adhere to no international norms or rules, a fact that became evident to the world during the imposed 12-day war."
He added, "We did not initiate the war, but we responded to the aggressor with full force. Given our complete doubt about the enemy’s commitment to its obligations, including the ceasefire, we are fully prepared to deliver a firm response if aggression is repeated."
During the conversation, the Saudi Defense Minister noted, "The Saudi government has not limited itself to condemning the aggressions and has made significant efforts to end the war and halt further aggression."
He also extended condolences for the martyrdom of several commanders of the Iranian Armed Forces during the recent imposed war. Both sides emphasized the continuation of consultations to strengthen bilateral relations and establish security and stability in the region, highlighting the important role of Iran and Saudi Arabia in achieving this goal.
