Bandar Abbas (IP) - The Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Medical Corps in Bandar Abbas referred to the recent steps taken by IRGC, saying that 3 field hospitals have been opened in different locations after the outbreak of coronavirus.

Iran Press/Iran news: On the sideline of the inauguration of Shahid Fatemi field hospital in Bandar Abbas, which belongs to IRGC Navy Medical Corps, Ali Mousavi Jazayeri told the Iran Press correspondent that after the outbreak of coronavirus in Iran, the Chief Commander of IRGC Major General Hossein Salami ordered to use all capabilities to fight coronavirus.

"IRGC Navy Medical Corps has 14 healthcare centers and all of these centers are providing services to patients who are diagnosed with coronavirus," he added.

Referring to the recent steps taken by IRGC, he noted that 3 field hospitals have been opened in different locations after the outbreak of coronavirus.

"We have opened 3 field hospitals in Rasht, Bandar Abbas, and Borazjan," Mousavi Jazayeri said.

The new virus, that causes a respiratory disease known as COVID-19, emerged in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei Province late last year. It has swept into at least 162 countries, infected more than 181,000 and killed at least 7,113 people worldwide, according to an estimate from Johns Hopkins University, which is tracking cases reported by the World Health Organization and additional sources.

In Iran, 4996 patients from all 14,991 infected patients, who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 so far, have recovered and discharged from hospitals across the country.
