Tehran (IP) - Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ deputy commander for Health, Rescue, Treatment, and Medical Education said that hospitals and healthcare centers that are under supervisions of IRGC will be allocated to Coronavirus patients.

Iran Press/Iran news: Brigadier General Ahmad Abdollahi underlined IRGC readiness to provide medical treatment for Coronavirus patients and said that this organization is fully ready to combat the Coronavirus outbreak in the country.

IRGC deputy commander for Health, Rescue, Treatment, and Medical Education in the press conference for the outbreak of Coronavirus said: "We have established the headquarter of Coronavirus prevention in the IRGC, and we discussed future plans and ways of contributing to the issue."

Hospitals and healthcare centers that are under control of IRGC would be allocated to Coronavirus patients, he added.

Referring to the situation in Tehran, Qom, Gilan, Kashan, and Golestan provinces, and the military official went on to say that, IRGC is assessing to provide the situation and its capabilities.

"IRGC has always been beside the Iranian people through crisis and disasters. We will play our role in the current crisis of Coronavirus," Abdollahi stressed.

Later IRGC Commander Hossein Salami in a phone conversation with Health Minister Saeed Namaki said that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is ready to cooperate with the Health Ministry to combat and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

On Sunday, Iranian Health Ministry Spokesman said that in the past 24 hours 385 new cases of Coronavirus infection diagnosed

He said that 11 more people died because of the Coronavirus in the same period

Given the latest figures of the Health Ministry, the total number of people diagnosed with the Coronavirus has been reached 978 people, out of whom 54 people died.
