Lebanon (IP): Iranian Cultural Attaché to Lebanon Abbas Khamehyar said that Iran has relied on the power of its people to overcome the US brutal sanctions.

Iran Press/Middle East: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has not relied on any country, but on the great power of its people to overcome the current economic situation and stand up against US sanctions,"Iranian Cultural Attaché in Lebanon, Abbas Khamehyar told Al-Mayadin TV.

Referring to the existence of sanctions in the shadow of the Coronavirus in Iran, Khamehyar said, "These sanctions have existed since the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, but they have been applied in various forms."

Iran's Cultural Attaché in Lebanon said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is currently using all its national capacities and manpower to fight the coronavirus, adding that a nation that wants to maintain its political, economic, cultural and social independence must stand up against these pressures, oppressions and sanctions.

The Coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, was detected late last year (2019) in Wuhan, China. Currently, all countries in the world are involved in the fight against the virus.

In Iran, more than 70,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus so far, and about 42,000 have been recovered.
