Coinciding with the week of Civil Defense, a specialized conference on regional and international cooperation in reducing vulnerabilities and risks in the fields of cybersecurity, chemical, biological, and radiological threats was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  

Iran PressIran news:  Shahabuddin Mahdavi, Secretary of the Civil Defense Committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at the conference that, given the shift in threats from traditional to advanced technology, the nature of damages has changed, requiring specific necessities.  

He added that these vulnerabilities demand essential measures across various areas, emphasizing the importance of a precise response to the threats.  

Mahdavi highlighted the significant role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in unarmed defense, noting that the Foreign Minister's activities align with this goal.  

He emphasized that a Cybersecurity Committee has been established within the Ministry, and its resolutions are mandatory.  

Continuing the conference, Ishraq Jahromi, Director General of International Peace and Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that unarmed defense serves as a deterrent and complements military and political activities.  

Referring to the crimes committed by the Israeli regime in the past year, he remarked that this regime is indifferent to the resolutions of international organizations and represents the greatest threat to regional peace and stability.  

Jahromi emphasized the importance of recognizing national necessities for capacity building and the existing challenges in the region that require increased collaboration among organizations and ministries."
