Iran Press/Iran news: On Wednesday, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri on the sideline of the Iran government cabinet weekly meeting said that a 30-acre tourism center will be constructed in the Persian Gulf Island of Abu Musa.
"With the cooperation of Iranian armed forces, parts of the island under the control of Iranian military forces were handed over to the Tourism ministry to construct a 30-acre tourism center ": Salehi-Amiri said about his trip to the Persian Gulf island of Abu Musa in Tuesday.
Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts also said that for easy access for Iranians to travel to Abu-Musa a series of facilities will be provided.
Salehi Amiri also announced the termination of new tourism centers in the Shahdad desert located in the Kerman province and also tourism projects in Makran in Sistan and Balochistan provinces.
On Tuesday, Seyyed Reza Salehi-Amiri visited the Persian Gulf island of Abu Musa in southern Hormozgan province.
Salehi-Amiri visited tourism projects and infrastructural developments as part of his agenda on the island.
The Abu Musa and two other Iranian islands of Greater and Lesser Tunb sit near important oil shipping channels at the mouth of the strategic Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.
