Lut Desert photo expo; global legacy in eastwest Iran
Birjand (IP) - Lut Desert was registered in the UNESCO world list in 2016 as the first natural legacy of Iran. It is the world's 25th-largest desert and is a large salt desert located in the provinces of Kerman and Sistan and Baluchestan.
Iran Press/ Iran News: With the fourth anniversary of the registration of Lut Desert in UNESCO, a photo gallery of the natural touristic place is underway exposed in Birjand, the capital of South Khorasan in eastern Iran.

Located in southeastern Iran, Lut Desert is divided among South Khorasan, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Kerman provinces.
Lut is of 22,780 square kilometers, of area, with Rig Yalan (sandhills), yardangs, Salt River, Hamada (a type of barren desert) as natural terrains. 207/205
