Birjand (IP) - Lut Desert was registered in the UNESCO world list in 2016 as the first natural legacy of Iran. It is the world's 25th-largest desert and is a large salt desert located in the provinces of Kerman and Sistan and Baluchestan.

Martian Mounts and Niybandan Village (known as Little South Africa in southeast Iran are considered the peak of the beauty of the exclusive Iranian natural place.

Located in southeastern Iran, Lut Desert is divided among South Khorasan, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Kerman provinces.

Lut is of 22,780 square kilometers, of area, with Rig Yalan (sandhills), yardangs, Salt River, Hamada (a type of barren desert) as natural terrains.  207/205
