Oshnavieh Dam in West Azerbaijan-northwest Iran, inaugurated
Tehran (IP) - In a ceremony held on Thursday via video conferencing with the presence of the President and the Minister of Energy, Oshnavieh Dam in West Azerbaijan province -northwest of Iran, is inaugurated.
Iran Press/ Iran news: Oshnaviyeh storage Dam with a reservoir volume of 46 million cubic meters, with clay core and in order to provide environmental water of Urmia Lake by 71%, drinking water supply required by the cities of Nalus, Oshnaviyeh, Mohammadyar, Naqadeh and surrounding villages by 18%. 6 and water supply of lowland lands, agricultural water rights of the region by 10.4 percent and for 1053 hectares today with a credit of 2,440 billion Rials and employment for 800 people was operationalized.
Together with the first steam unit of Assaluyeh Combined Cycle Power Plant a total of 8 projects were inaugurated today by the Minister of Energy with a credit of 26,300 billion Rials, which will directly create employment for 1,687 people.
One of the outstanding features of these 8 projects is that all these projects have been implemented with Rial currency by the public and private sectors without relying on foreign exchange resources.
Both the private sector and the public sector have invested 22,720 billion Rials and 3,580 billion Rials respectively in the implementation of these projects.
