Mashad (IP) - Second Iran-Afghanistan joint meeting focusing on culture, art, music and poetry titled 'From Neyshanbur to Balkh' held in Mashhad in northeastern Iran.

Iran Press/Iran newsThe event which was held in 'Ghadir' cultural center of Mashhad  has been aimed at getting acquainted  with different aspects of Iran and Afghanistan art and culture, Afghan musical instruments, interaction between the intellectuals  of the two countries,  as well as focusing the  promulgation  and expansion of  the Persian language, Iran Press reported.

Seven musical pieces by 'Shir Agha Kamali', 'Shahab Hossein', 'Mohammad Sharifi', 'Feyzollah Mohammadi', from Herat region were performed ones at the event.

Afghan immigrant poet, 'Mohammad Ali Kaboli' had also read out his latest poems in the second joint cultural meeting.

Some three million Afghans have immigrated to Iran three thousands of whom are living in Mashhad.203/209
