Iran's Parliament Speaker has said that the US ban on Iran's oil is a form of psychological warfare against the Iranian nation.

Iran Press/Iran news:  Americans are pushing for boycotting Iran and making various excuses for different issues such as human right in Iran, but their main issue is oil," said  Ali Larijani at 14th congress Iranian Geographic Society on Saturday morning, Iran Press reported.

"They wanted to do the same in Iraq but Prominent Shi'a cleric Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali al-Sistani and Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi prevented the US conspiracies, thus, they launch psychological operations against Iran because they are aware of the status of Iranian oil in the world," Larijani added.

He continued: "The war that was launched in Libya is due to land and oil too and that's why the political scene of Libya has shattered, as in Venezuela. There are a few oil fields not available to the Americans, one of which is Venezuela, to make it available, the US made the problem for the country.

Larijani stated that now they (Americans) launch psychological operations because they know that when Iran's oil is not sold, many problems in the world will occur.

"Saudi Arabia and the Emirates do not have the capacity to sell more oil, and if they had they would have done so, the Americans only conduct psychological operations by contacting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This psychological operation works a few days, but then the oil shortage begins and will cause problems in the coming days and weeks," Larijani stressed.

In April, the White House said US President Donald Trump 'has decided not to reissue' waivers regarding sanctions against countries importing Iranian oil when the waivers expire in early May.

Trump urged OPEC to increase the global oil output and threatened to sanction the organization.
