Iran's health ministry spokesman, Iraj Harirchi, speaking at a press conference in Tehran on Tuesday, has divided the financial resources of healthcare sector into four subcategories. These are:(1) creation of resources, (2) aggregation of resources, (3) purchase of services and, finally, (4) providing a definition for service package.
"In the scientific world the creation of resources in healthcare sector depends on four functions", Harirchi added.
Harirchi noted that creation of resources means finding revenues from general resources including; taxes and general budget.
Selling insurances and gaining trade sources are also among the ways of creating resources for healthcare sector", Iran's Health Ministry spokesman added.
Iraj Harirchi also said that the ministry is doing some developmental activities in deprived regions, in order to provide service to local people.
"In recent months, 16 hospital projects became operational and in the following year 45 hospitals will be operational", Iran's Health Ministry spokesman Iraj Harirchi concluded.
