Britons marched outside Nigeria's embassy in London, demanding the immediate release of detained leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaki.

Iran Press/Europe: Protesters held up candles during this rally on Friday night, calling for Nigerian government to release Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaki immediately.

Britons, gathered for a second time in less than a week outside Nigeria's embassy in London, also condemned suppression of peaceful demonstrations in Nigeria.

Sheikh Zakzaki has been held in detention since December 2015 and was charged just in April 2018 with unlawful assembly and disruption of public peace, allegations that are rejected by the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN).

In 2016, Nigeria’s federal high court ordered his unconditional release from jail following a trial, but the government has so far refused to set him free. 101/211
