This event focused on the situation of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and included talks about a number of the prisoners whose physical health are deteriorating.
The participants in the convention of Freedom for Palestinian Prisoners in Rome also have condemned the increasing number of Palestinian children in Israeli jails to more than 500 person .
Intellectuals, politicians, anti war and human rights activists have participated in the convention.
Israel has never pay the price for violating human rights in Palestinian territory. Today we intend to catch the attentions of People to the difficulties of Palestinian children which their lives have been targeted by Israel. Israel wants to destroy Palestinian lives. Israel falsely thinks that with oppression it can stop the revolt of the future generation of Palestinian people against the criminal Zionist regime", one of the participant said.
The participant of the convention of Freedom for Palestinian Prisoners have also condemned the recent attack on Syria soil.
"United States, UK and France have intended to destroy Syria in one hand and on the other hand to divert the international attention to criminal acts against Palestinian people and also from Al-Quds issue", another participant in the convention noted.
The convention of Freedom for Palestinian Prisoners released a statement and said that around seven thousand Palestinians are in Israel prisons under difficult situation.
In the final statement of the convention, the participant asked international community to defend Palestinian children from Israel oppression.
Around 22% of Palestinians detained by Israel in 2017 were children.
Israeli occupation forces arrested 609 Palestinians, including 95 children and 13 women only in March 2018.
