Criticizing the US and European sanctions against the country, the Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister stressed that the continuation of these sanctions is in the midst of the outbreak of the coronavirus, which is considered as the crime against humanity.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Ayman Susan on Sunday described unilateral US and EU sanctions against the country as inhuman and said that these hostile actions have limited Syria's health capabilities in the fight against the coronavirus.

"Syria has difficult conditions to deal with the outbreak of the coronavirus due to the war on terror and the siege," Susan reiterated

Bashar al-Jaafari, Syria's permanent envoy to the United Nations, told an online webinar today that the US government not only supports terrorist groups in Syria but also pursues economic, health, and political terrorism in order to pursue selfish interests.

Since the start of the Syrian crisis in 2011, the United States has sanctioned its legitimate government in various fields.
